ORIGIN AND PROPERTIES OF THE INGREDIENTS:
PUMICE is a lightweight, soft volcanic stone derived from rapidly cooled lava. The fast cooling process prevents the formation of sharp-edged crystals. It is therefore in finely ground form an extremely soft yet effective cleaning material. SODIUM CARBONATE and SOAP endow the cleaning agent with its superior grease and dirt-loosening powers. After the dirt is detached, it is absorbed by the natural CLAY due to its excellent swelling and bonding properties. The ESSENTIAL OILS made from sage and a plant of the myrtle family (cajeput) give a pleasant, fresh fragrance.

SPECIAL PRODUCT FEATURE:
Cleaning agents in powder form fulfill the stringent organic demands of the highest active agent concentration at the lowest transport weight, since each liquid product consists of approx. 70-80 % water. Consequently, this is a highly economical and effective cleaning agent.

ECOLOGY:
BIODEGRADABILITY:
The principal ingredients of the cleaning agent are PULVERIZED ROCK and SILICATE-RICH EARTHS. They are immediately reintegrated into nature, with absolutely no need for any degradation process. As a mineral substance, SODIUM CARBONATE also requires no further degradation. SOAP made from vegetable oils has an outstanding feature compared to all other active washing substances. Immediately after use, it combines with the calcium (always present in the waste water) to form calcium soap and thus neutralizes itself in its surfactant effect on living organisms (PRIMARY DEGRADATION). The calcium soap is then rapidly 100% degraded by microorganisms to carbon dioxide and water (SECONDARY DEGRADATION).
SOAP is  classified as readily biodegradable according to OECD guidelines.
