ORIGIN AND PROPERTIES OF THE INGREDIENTS:
SOAP, SUGAR SURFACTANT and COCONUT OIL ALCOHOL SULPHATE work together in a mutually complementary and intensifying way in this liquid detergent. For the SOAP certified organic rape seed oil is saponified in a special saponification procedure with the aid of potassium hydroxide and without external heat input. SOAP as an active washing substance uniquely embodies all of the properties required for the washing process – moistening, loosening and absorbing dirt. In this effect, the SOAP is intensified by the SUGAR SURFACTANT and COCONUT OIL ALCOHOL SULPHATE which are derived from purely plant-based raw materials - sugar, starch and coconut oil - by chemical conversions with the aid of acids.
CITRATE, the sodium salt of citric acid, is added for bonding with the lime in the water. It is obtained from the fermentation of sugar-containing byproducts such as molasses.
The ALCOHOL, which is derived from the fermentation of vegetable starch, helps to keep the detergent liquid and thus permits a high concentration of the active washing substance.

SPECIAL PRODUCT FEATURE:

The special energy-saving method of saponification, the use of oils and essential oils from 100 % certified organic cultivation are the outstanding features of SONETT washing liquid color.
An extra addition of softener is not necessary for all hard water areas due to the combination of citrates and soap.

TECHNICAL DATA:

pH value:
(20° C) (5 g/l H2O) approx. 8.5 – 9.5

ECOLOGY:
BIODEGRADABILITY:
SOAP made from vegetable oils has the special feature compared to all other active washing substances, namely that it combines immediately after use with the calcium always present in the waste water to form calcium soap and thus neutralizes itself in its surfactant effect on aquatic organisms (PRIMARY DEGRADATION). The calcium soap is then rapidly 100 % degraded by microorganisms to carbon dioxide and water (SECONDARY DEGRADATION).
In the manufacturing process of SUGAR SURFACTANTS and COCONUT OIL ALCOHOL SULPHATE, constituents are taken from the plant-based raw materials starch, sugar and fat; however, they completely retain their natural structure. It is therefore relatively easy for microorganisms to 100 % decompose these surfactants. CITRIC ACID and THEIR SALTS are constituents of plant, animal and human metabolisms and are therefore rapidly and completely degraded into carbon dioxide and water by naturally occurring microorganisms.
SOAP, SUGAR SURFACTANTS, CITRIC ACID and COCONUT OIL ALCOHOL SULPHATE are classified as readily biodegradable according to OECD guidelines.
