ORIGIN AND PROPERTIES OF THE INGREDIENTS:

The principal active ingredient contained in SONETT washing powder is SOAP manufactured from various vegetable oils – palm oil, rape seed oil and coconut oil– by simmering them with alkaline solution. The oils originate 100% from organic or biodynamic cultivation. SOAP as an active washing substance uniquely embodies all of the properties required for the washing process – moistening, loosening and absorbing dirt. SODIUM CARBONATE is manufactured by converting lime with sodium chloride. METASILICATE arises from the coalescence of quartz sand and sodium carbonate. Sodium carbonate and metasilicate both intensify the washing lye due to their alkalinity and promote the removal of fatty substances in particular. ZEOLITE A  and  LAYERED SILICATE both have silicate rock as their raw material of origin. In addition to their property of binding lime in water, these substances also simultaneously bind the organic substances and colour pigments dissolved in the washing water and prevent them from being deposited on the laundry. COCONUT OIL ALCOHOL SULPHATE, derived from coconut oil, supports the soap in its fat-solubility.

SPECIAL PRODUCT FEATURE:

Only with the MODULAR SYSTEM, with its separate dosage of the 3 main constituents of the detergent:

- active washing substances; - softener; - bleaching complex; is it really possible to achieve an optimal utilization of the individual substances depending on the degree of soiling of the clothing, the hardness of the water and the entirely individual requirements according to the washing whiteness level.

For a soap-based detergent, soft water is an absolute requirement. By means of the Modular System, the basis is therefore created to take advantage of the unequaled advantages of soap even with harder water.

We avoid the use of anticaking agents, fillers, optical brighteners, phosphates and enzymes.

ECOLOGY:
BIODEGRADABILITY:
SOAP made from vegetable oils has one outstanding feature compared to all other active washing substances, namely that it combines immediately after use with the calcium always present in the waste water to form calcium soap and thus neutralizes itself in its effect on living organisms (primary degradation).
The calcium soap is then 100% degraded by microorganisms to carbon dioxide and water (secondary degradation).
COCONUT OIL ALCOHOL SULPHATEmade from natural, renewable raw materials, remains unchanged during manufacturing in its internal molecular structure. Therefore, it is easily detected by microorganisms in the waste water and is easily degradable, meaning it is rapidly and completely reintegrated into the natural cycle.
The remaining constituents of the detergent, SODIUM CARBONATE, CLAY MINERALS and SILICATES, are mineral substances which do not need to be further degraded in nature.
SOAP and COCONUT OIL ALCOHOL SULPHATE are classified as readily biodegradable according to OECD guidelines.
